Will my images be edited?
Yes, all images will be lightly edited, and a select few may be enhanced by retouching; unedited images are not provided. I believe it's important to get the shot right in the camera. I specialize in natural retouching that makes you, well, look like you.
In the retouching process, I will focus on minor blemishes, image sharpening, and color balance. I will do my best to make retouching changes that you request.
I do not provide overly complex composite and/or heavily altered images. However, you are more than welcome to take your images to a company that specializes in that type of retouching.
What does "retouching" an image mean?
Each portrait and headshot session includes a limited number of high-resolution, retouched images.
As mentioned earlier, I specialize in a more natural retouching style. In the editing process, I will focus on touching up minor client blemishes, sharpening images, and adjusting color balance.
What does a "lightly edited" image mean?
Again, this means I will use auto image sharpening and color balance to enhance your image(s) but not alter the subject(s). This is often used for larger special events. All images in your client gallery have been lightly edited.
What is the difference between high resolution and medium resolution?
High resolution - The majority of my clients are provided with a high resolution JPEG image file (300 DPI). A high resolution or original image is best for printing and is also a great for social media sharing.
Medium resolution - In some cases I provide a client with a medium resolution JPEG image file (100-150 DPI). Medium resolution is great for social media posting but is not recommened for prints larger than 5x7".
How will I receive my session images, portraits and wall art?
Retouched portraits, headshots and special event image files will be emailed from J Greenwald Photography. An online gallery link will be provided for your session images. Sometimes, for larger file transfers, I use We Transfer.
All prints, cards and wall art ordered, using the gallery shop, will be delivered directly to your home.
Gallery shop orders will be reviewed for accuracy and the watermark removed before your order is sent to our professional print lab partner.
And the #1 question...Can I purchase the printing rights to the images from my session?
Having the ability to purchase the printing rights to a photographer's digital image file allows a client to use the image(s) for personal (non-commercial) use, like printing for home/office display, creating a photo book, or sharing on social media.
Yes, I do provide my clients the opportunity to purchase the print rights for any image(s) in their private client gallery, using the gallery shop.
Downloadable image(s) are sold individually (high & medium resolution) and in bundles of 5 or 12 (medium resolution).
J Greenwald Photograph owns the copyrights for all session image files.
